Our Mission

Wisconsin Theatreworks is a regional theatre company whose mission is to celebrate, perpetuate and invigorate the art of theatre. We create a quality, innovative and unique theatre experience for audiences in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

People

Jim Tropp is the founder and director of Wisconsin Theatreworks. He has directed over 40 productions. Some of his favorite credits include: MID-LIFE! The Crisis Musical, Jekyll and Hyde, Annie, Miss Saigon, Little Shop of Horrors, Cabaret, All Shook Up!, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, South Pacific , The Sound of Music and The Fantasticks. He also directed "Janesville in Stages"- the opening show for The Janesville Performing Arts Center.

He was co-founder and past President of Theatre Unlimited. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Janesville Performing Arts Center, Janesville Presents!, Beloit Riverfest and Dance Theatre. Jim was instrumental in bringing Tony Bennett, Donny Osmond and Christopher Cross to JPAC.
